A PROACTIVE APPROACH TO ACCESSIBILITY & SUSTAINABILITY

We want everyone to be able to enjoy the Regatta. Please refer to the map on page 36 for locations.

Accessibility

• Additional accessible parking spaces in the vicinity
• An accessible toilet on site
• A raised viewing platform for wheelchair users and those who need to sit for medical or mobility reasons

Havelet Fete: Many activities are set up on tables to make them easier to access. We have also included blended games for disabled and non-disabled participants to enjoy together.

Quiet Zone: A sensory tent where people with autism can find a calm space.

Sustainability

New this year is our water bar, serving fresh local water filtered on site. It is a simple idea, done properly. Huge thanks to François Kruger for creating and running it, and to Stan Brouard for the beautifully aged whisky barrel.

Alongside that, we are doing a few straightforward things that all add up:

• No single-use plastics or bottled water on site
• Clearly marked recycling bins
• Efficient generators to reduce emissions
• Encouraging people to walk or cycle where possible
• Craft stalls using biodegradable materials
• Games powered by elbow grease rather than batteries

Where we can, we source locally and reuse materials. Much of what you see has had a previous life.
